The secret behind the special design of OOVIVA olive trees

One of the necessary conditions to produce high-phenolic and elixir-quality olive oil is undoubtedly the quality of the olives, and the way trees are planted in the field plays a crucial role in obtaining high-quality olives. Unfortunately, this is often overlooked by many companies in the market, resulting in olive oils that are low in nutritional value and lacking antioxidant properties. OOVIVA olive groves, however, are always designed according to the highest standards, ensuring the production of first-class olives with high levels of phenols.

For instance, it should be considered how the olive tree channels the energy it receives from the sun, the minerals obtained from the soil, and the aroma acquired from endemic species in its surroundings into its fruit. Therefore, when designing an olive grove, specific conditions must be met for tree planting. It is of utmost importance that trees can efficiently absorb sunlight and do not remain in each other's shade, as shading can cause the refraction of sunlight and reduce productivity.

The altitude where the trees are located should also be taken into account. According to research, olive trees need some time to cool down to process the stored energy correctly. If a tree remains warm, it cannot continue to process energy effectively. In light of this information, the location of olive trees should be carefully planned. Similar to OOVIVA gardens, slopes of valleys between 400 and 1000 meters in altitude should be selected, oriented vertically towards the sea and parallel to the prevailing winds.
